Early Childhood Intervention
Early Childhood Intervention: Growing Through Connection and Play
I provide neuroaffirming early childhood intervention that supports children’s social, emotional, communication, and developmental growth through connection, play, and meaningful relationships.
My approach is relationship-based and responsive to each child’s unique strengths, interests, and developmental profile. I draw on DIRFloortime® to guide how I connect with each child, follow their lead, and support their development through everyday interactions and play.
Who Can Benefit from Early Childhood Intervention?
Emotional Regulation
Communication and Language
Social Interaction
Attention and Engagement
My DIRFloortime® Approach
DIRFloortime® is a developmental, relationship-based approach that recognises the whole child, including their emotions, relationships, individual differences, strengths, and unique way of experiencing the world.
I use the DIRFloortime® framework to understand your child’s developmental profile and meet them where they are. I follow their interests and ideas, using play and meaningful interactions to support connection, regulation, engagement, communication, and problem-solving.
I focus on key developmental capacities such as:
- Regulation and shared attention
- Engagement and connection
- Two-way communication
- Problem-solving and thinking
What Does a Session Look Like?
During sessions, I follow your child’s lead, whether that’s through play, imagination, movement, or sensory exploration.
I join their world first, building connection and engagement before gently expanding their ideas through interaction, new possibilities, and shared experiences.
Each session is tailored to your child’s individual strengths, interests, needs, energy, and stage of development.
Parents and caregivers are an important part of the process. I provide guidance and practical strategies to help you support your child’s development in everyday life.
I am trained in the DIR® model and support children through connection rather than compliance. I focus on each child as an individual and support their development in a way that feels respectful and meaningful.
